A bunch of us had been to watch a Quarter mile time sprint event and were on our way homewards. As it transpired, we had to pass a couple of hotels so we stopped for a couple at two pubs. Suitably watered we were galloping along and came up and onto a single lane bridge. Unbeknown to me, the wee spring that connected the footbrake to the brakelight was gone and the rider behind me came up too fast and in passing me clipped my handlebar ripping it out of my grip and turning the front wheel at right angles to the bike!..Of course everything stopped quickly and me and my passenger went over the front. Not far behind us in a car were some cobbers one of whom had a camera which he was taking random shots with as he had a darkroom at home. The resulting photo showed various arms ,legs, and shiny bits...the back Wheel high in the air, the other bike going past but not my passenger! He must have been so high in the air he missed getting in the shot. I went face first into the road but got my arms up intime to stop getting my face ground down but still got knocked unconscious...ended well tho but the Kwaka got a bit munted...lucky!.

Still it could of been worse....at least me jocks were still clean

It's good to have an end to the journey, buts it's the journey that matters in the end.
